Hi! How are you doing? I have been talking with Lucyin on Uzeu_copene:Lucyin#Status_on_checking_files about files uploaded by User:Djozewal. I did not mention you there but you are of course also welcome to check the files and move them to Commons if they are okay. It's a little hard for me to check because I do not speak the language and Google Translate can't help me. So I often can't fix description or add categories.

Hello,
I'm fine and you? It's been a long time. :-) I'm going to check that tonight. May I add categories in Walloon or need I to add categories in English?
Yours sincerely,
Èl-Gueuye-Noere
Hi, yes it has been a long. I'm fine too!
Categories on Commons are mostly in English but if you can't find the right category you could perhaps just link to the article on wa.wiki. For example Imådje:Aout 047.jpg was used in Grossès aiwes and that was linked to c:Category:Floods so I could find the right category. In the article the text below the image said "Grossès aiwes a Ocgniye, ..." so I could go to Ocgniye that link to c:Category:Ottignies. I know that not all articles have a match on Commons but perhaps the article have a reference like "Xxx is a town in X-province / X-country" and then we can at least find out where it is located.
You can also just add a description in French or English if you do not know the categories. That would make it possible for a lot of users to fix it.
If a text mention a person it would be good to know if the text says "Photo taken by XX" or "Photo showing XX" etc.
Yours sincerely, Michael
Thank you for helping out moving the files. I think there is no need to add "Cc-by-sa-4.0" in the permission/license field because the license is allready mentioned. The permission field is meant for OTRS permissions.
Hi! Great that you move files to Commons. I moved the files that I suspect may have a problem to Categoreye:Files uploaded by Djozewal - need check so I think that most files in Categoreye:Files uploaded by Djozewal can be moved. If you notice any files that you are not sure about just skip them for now and we can check later.
Hi,
I have a questions concerning drawings and front covers of this category. Can I move them to Commons, or should I wait?
Yours sincerely,
Èl-Gueuye-Noere
Yes you can move them (or delete them if they are allready on Commons) unless you have a reason to believe that they were not drawn by José Schoovaerts.
Hello @MGA73,
May I upload all caricatures drawn by Djozewal on Commons. They most often depict politicians, but I saw that a well-known Walloon-speaking linguist was also drawn. Seeing that these people really exists, does I risk anything if I upload them on Commons?
Yours sincerely,
Èl-Gueuye-Noere
P.S. I've only seen that, perhaps, all of them were already uploaded.
Hello! No there is nothing that prevent us from uploading drawings of actual persons. Not unless they are very harmful for that person. I do not think that any of the drawings look harmful.
Great work moving files! I wonder if Precieusès pires is the same as en:Gemstone?
Yes, it is. ;)
Great! Do you know how to add links via Wikidata?
Oh looking at your edits at Wikidata it seems you are better than I am :D
If Walin (viyaedje) = c:Category:Walhain then Imådje:WalhainSPaul.jpg is in Belgium and then it is okay for Commons.
Yes, Walhain-Saint-Paul is a part of Walhain.
What do you need for Wikidata actually?
Thank you! I was thinking about adding interwiki links to the articles and categories if possible. Like now there is a link from Precieusès pires to the articles of gemstones on other wikis.
For example go to Walin (viyaedje) click "Add links" type "enwiki" and click it and then copy/paste in "Walhain" and click "Link with page" to add links to en:Walhain and the other articles on other wikis.
Oh Walin allready link to en:Walhain. What does "(viyaedje)" mean?
"Viyaedje" means "village".
Yay we hit a milestone... Now there are less than 200 in Categoreye:Files uploaded by Djozewal :-)
Thank you for deleting the files i moved to Commons. If you have time could you have a look at the files in Categoreye:NowCommons? I think they can be deleted unless you suspect that the files are not made by Djozewal / José Schoovaerts.
Hello,
My pleasure. I'm going to check the category you mentionned, and which I forgot the existence, by the way.
Yours sincerely,
Èl-Gueuye-Noere
@MGA73 : I'm quite unsure concerning pictures herebelow:
I can't understand the text but they are listed under José_Schoovaerts#Galreye_di_documints so my guess was that they were made by him. Also one of them is used at Jean_Roba so I was thinking he made a drawing of Jean Roba. But if you are not sure it is better to ask him.
Hello again! Lucyin agreed that the files above are made by Jean Roba so I deleted them on Commons. They can stay here on wa.wiki until you find out what to do with them. If you find any other files in Categoreye:NowCommons that you do not think was made by José then please let me know.
Hello,
I'll have a look.
Thank you very much for the two Roba's drawings.
Hi! Is there a problem with moving/deleting files? Or are you just busy with other stuff? :-)
Hello,
I'd say both at the same time. There are many pictures that represent people, and I don't know if I may move them to Commons?
Yeah time is always an issue. About photos of persons we have this policy c:Commons:Photographs of identifiable people. If taken somewhere public then it is okay to move. If it is taken in a private place then it depends on if the person gave consent or not. I guess you have to decide if you think that José have asked or not (I do not think there are any written statements on the file pages). I do not think there are any rules for drawings. Of course if I make a drawing of someone identifiable having sex with a goat or killing a kid then it will probably not be acceptable.
I do not see any identifiable persons on the photos in Categoreye:NowCommons. So my guess it that they are all okay.
About the photos in Categoreye:Files uploaded by Djozewal perhaps Uzeu:Lucyin could ask José if he asked for permission. If he say yes then I think we can move them in good faith. Of course if he says "hell no" then we should not move them :-D
I've just seen there are still pictures of churches. I'm going to move them now, because I know there are quite safe.
Yes take all the easy files first. That is what I always do. Move the good. Delete the bad... Then slowly work on those in between.
Speaking of slowly. I started on a wiki 13 years ago and fixed many files then I tried to make local users work too a few times... Last year when I returned after a wiki break not much had happend so I poked them a few times... Still not much happend. Then I said well if you are not going to fix it then the only solution may be to do a mass delete of all files... That made a few admins delete a few hundred files with no license and unused non-free files. If wa.wiki can fix just 1 file each day then it will all be fixed in 2 years. Still way much better than 13 years (where they only managed to fix like 200 files untill I slapped them).
