Hello

I noticed that you are checking files/images and they are easy to move to Commons. I don't know if you know m:Help:Extension:FileImporter but once it is set up you can move files with 2 clicks. One click to start the tranfer and one click to say ok.

Once the files are moved to Commons they should be checked and info corrected if something needs to be fixed.

The script should add a "NowCommons" automatically.

Many of the files in Categoreye:Copy to Commons - Lucyin should be ready to move. I do not speak Wallon so I prefer a local user check and move. If there are typos in the file name I would not notice :-)

If you want to try just go ahead. And if you find other files you want to copy I can help set up the script.

I can also fix description etc with my bot if that is any help. I just need to know what to do.

My plan is to move all the easy files first. Lucyin is still active so I'm sure we can have him add a license later.

Yes, I already used the tool you mention, and as you can see here i also tried to setup the proper file to be able to use it, but it was not so easy that I thought.

I saw the job you did to improve the transfert to Commons. Thanks a lot for this.

Hi! You removed :Imådje:Djaler.jpg‎ and nominated it for deletion. May I ask why? I just wonder :-)

It's a bit complicated to explain, I hope to be clear enough saying that many images in the pseudo namespace Motî: (ie. Motî:djaler) come from an old dictionary project (written by Lucyin and Pablo themself), called Esplicant motî do walon, available here. In 2003 that project moved here on Wikipedia (under this pseudo namespace) and knowned a few improvement before to be moved again on Walloon Wiktionary in 2005.

All pages in this old project are going to be deleted in a few days, and images as well, except some of ones that could be useful for the Wiktionary that will be transferred on Commons. We saved all pages of this temporary project on our own archive. The image you pointed is not useful for us anymore and can be deleted.

Aha! I was wondering what the Moti namespace was :-) Its a sort of old wa.wiktionary. Well if they can use the images on wa.wiktionary they can of course be moved to Commons.

Anyway if they delete the pages soon then a lot of images will become unused. I guess that would make it easier to decide. Files like Imådje:Toet trawe.jpg and Imådje:Wooteu wi.jpg should be okay to move if they are usable.

Yes, all images in this namespace are under free license, most of them made by Lucyin.

Should all pages in Motî: be deleted? Or does someone need to check them manually? If all are going to be deleted I'm sure a bot can do that.

Yes, all theses pages can be deleted right now, if you are able to do this (with a bot ?).

I was an admin at en.wiki, da.wiki, lb.wiki, ms.wiki and commons before I took a wikibreak so I know how stuff works. I can delete a few first so you can check that everything is fine before I delete thousands of pages. It is better to be sure :-)

If you want to start with some of ones, you can start with Categoreye:Årtikes recråxhîs sol Wiccionaire that I'm really shure you can delete.

Sure. We May need to remove Modele:Wiccionaire-motî from the category first. If the template is deleted first I think all the pages using it will be removed from the category.

With your bot, could you please in the same time replace in the main space all links Motî: by :wikt: ?

Yes that should not be a problem as long as the link is changed from Motî:footo :wikt:foo

I made 10 edits from Motî: to :wikt:with my bot now so you can check if that is how you would like to have it. Let me know if I should change some more.

You can first change the links, but I think you'll have warning anyway because there are links into the Motî: namespace to others articles in this namespace. Do the easier for you.

No it wasn't, but it's not a real damage. Are you able to test this case before any change ? ie. if Motî: is not preceded by [[

Yes I can exclude cases where there is a blank before "M". I will change articles with no blank first. Then we can see the other ones later.

The bot changed 10 pages starting with Motî: before I could stop it. If all are going to be deleted that is not a problem. But if you wanna keep some of them we change them back later.

I noticed this Cawete -idjot a redirect. Seems the bot did not edit redirects. Should it have done that?

Yes, it should, i'll take a look later about these kind of redirects.

I guess they will show up at Sipeciås:Redirections_cassées

Okay i deleted some pages now. I found no mistakes. There are some redirects that will now be broken. And there are some links in userpages that will no longer work.

If all looks good I will speed up deletions. I just have to go for 15 minutes

It's seems good for me. About links in userpages, it's not important, in my opinion, but i'm going to see if we should change this too.

I changed one page as a test Uzeu:Borbouze and it looks good to me. Just let me know if you want me to change it. Users can revert if they do not like it.

Yes, you can process, i took a look and it should redirect to the Wiktionary.

Yes, I've installed this gadget on wa.wiktionary, where I am admin, here I cannot. Can you install the gadget with your bot account ?

You can delete them if you have already a such list.

I added a list of broken redirects to Uzeu:MGA73/Sandbox. Could you have a look and let me know what to delete? You can either remove those that you want to keep or you could make a comment "Delete all that starts with Moti:" or "Delete all that links to a page that starts with Moti:"

Okay now the Moti-Moti are deleted. I put the rest back in my Sandbox. Perhaps you could have a look again and see if you want more deleted.

I see your message. I tried to create the page: "MediaWiki:Gadget-HotCat.js" but I didn't succeed in doing that, because (even though I'm an administrator on wa.wiki) I'm not allowed to create "MediaWiki" pages.

Indeed, only interface administrators have rights to do a such thing. I'm going to see that with Lucyin.

This is the message that I get when I try to create it:

"There is currently no text in this page. You can search for this page title in other pages, or search the related logs, but you do not have permission to create this page."

So, I think the only one, who has the right to create this page, is @Lucyin. He is regarded on wa.wiki as a bureaucrat (higher-administrator), and I'm only regarded as a sysop (lower-administrator).

Okay well then we have to wait :-)

Lucyin said on his talk page he would try to install HotCat when he have some time. If you know how to do it you could ask him if he could make you an interface administrator or whatever is needed to fix this. That is perhaps much easier.
